REVIEW OF

Big Foot Sasquatch SS Static Tip ILF Takdown Recurve
This bow has a 21" riser with medium limbs for an overall length of 64"
Max draw weight 65#

This is the first run prototype of this bow

She's a Beauty, but the best is yet to come.

RISER

The riser is made with G10 Garolite back to belly.

There is no flex to this baby

The I beam of the riser is 3/8" G10, then wood on the outside to give it a wood riser appearance.

The Shelf is cut 1/4" past center

The ILF receivers are fully adjustable with set screws threaded into the G10 to achieve limb alignment if needed. I was able to align this one perfectly

The upgraded production model of this riser has 3/4" G10 back to belly, and is cut 3/8" past center.

It is offered in 17", 19", and 21" lengths

Notice the installed berger button bushing at the shelf

Fully adjustable for center shot alignment

Legal in all Traditional competition venues in the off the shelf recurve classes, including the IBO

The upgraded production model has the option of the low bushing, and/or a high bushing for elevated rest

Notice the through bolt limb bolt system

This allows for  internal locking/jam bolts on the limb bolts to insure they stay securely in place

The through bolt system also allows for a belly mounted bow quiver which is a big plus for me

I had the stabilizer bushing installed for use with my hog light 8^)

LIMBS

Strung & Unstrung profiles of the limbs

These are fully static tip limbs

Although not quite as radical as some available,  they easily qualify as "Super Hook" limbs

These particular limbs are also prototype first runs

They are maple cores with black glass as I requested

The hooks do not open, even at full draw, which forces the limbs to bend very evenly

Very smooth draw all the way to 31"

These limbs are offered in medium length only making the assembled bow

60" on a 17" riser,

62" on a 19" riser

64" on a 21" riser

They are fast too !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Told you the best was yet to come, and here it is

The bow maxes out at 65#, but I had to drop it down to get my arrows to be stiff enough

I am shooting 7595 Goldtip Traditionals

Bow set at

60# @ 29.5"

8.5" brace height

zero tiller

I shot three different arrow weights ten times through the chronograph

I threw out the two high & two low readings from each set, and averaged the middle six

Chronograph Tests

10.5 Grains Per Pound of Draw Weight

10 Grains Per Pound of Draw Weight

9.5 Grains Per Pound of Draw Weight

I'll be sticking with the 10.5 gpp arrows

I'm plenty happy with a 630 grain arrow going 190 plus feet per second 8^)

As you can see, this little gal gets it done with AUTHORITY

Quiet, Fast, Stable

&

Pretty to look at too 8^)

Absolutely one of the best bows I have ever shot
